Overview

The Ghost is a modified VCX-100 light freighter, the home and mobile base of the rebel cell led by Hera Syndulla in Star Wars Rebels[1][2]. A pilot, a co-pilot and a gunner run it, and a small auxiliary craft, the Phantom, docks on its roof[2].

At about 44 metres long[3], the Ghost is small for a ship with so many jobs: hideout, supply hauler and gunship. Beyond Rebels, it makes a cameo in Rogue One and returns in the live-action series Ahsoka[1].

How it flies and fights

The Ghost is a freighter that can fight like a gunship. A dorsal laser turret covers all 360 degrees, a nose turret can be fired from the cockpit, and two proton torpedo launchers deal with bigger targets[2]. The docked Phantom serves as the rear gun[2]. In an atmosphere the ship reaches about 1,025 km/h[3].
