Overview
The Hammerhead corvette is a Rebel warship of the Sphyrna class, about 116.7 metres long[2]. It first appears in Star Wars Rebels, where Princess Leia secretly takes three of them from her family's stock and delivers them to Phoenix Squadron on Lothal[4]. It returns in Rogue One as part of the Rebel fleet at Scarif[3].
It is a powerful transport as well as a warship[1], and its design echoes Leia's own ship, the Tantive IV from A New Hope[2].

Behind the scenes
- In Rogue One the corvette is fully CGI. ILM's 'digital kitbashing', an idea of John Knoll's, scanned more than 300 real model-kit pieces into a library for dressing the hull. Director Gareth Edwards framed it with a virtual camera riding on its back[3].
- The Hammerhead was introduced in Star Wars Rebels as a nod to a similar vessel in the game Knights of the Old Republic, and its CGI design was meant to evoke the Tantive IV[2].
