Overview
Malachor is a dark, barren planet in the Outer Rim, a world of bare rock, rocky mountains and caverns[3]. Its defining feature is an ancient Sith temple, the site of a huge battle between Jedi and Sith that was fought long before the Empire[1].
The planet lies in the Chorlian sector, at grid square S-4 of the galaxy map, and it has at least two moons[3]. It is seen only in the animated series Star Wars Rebels[1][2].
Role in the galaxy
Malachor matters as a place of old secrets. In Star Wars Rebels, Ahsoka Tano, Kanan Jarrus and Ezra Bridger travel to the Sith temple in search of knowledge about the Sith[2]. The visit turns into a dangerous confrontation in the finale of the series' second season, set against the ruins of the ancient battle[2].
