Overview
The Upsilon-class command shuttle is the First Order's transport for senior officers. Sienar-Jaemus Fleet Systems builds it as an armoured ship with shields and a Class 1 hyperdrive, and it carries up to ten passengers[1][2]. Kylo Ren's black shuttle is its best-known example[2].
In The Force Awakens it carries him to Jakku, Takodana and Starkiller Base[1]. Its look is grim and bird-of-prey-like, with wings that fold up for landing[1][2].

How it flies and fights
The wings define the shuttle. With them extended in flight it stands 37.2 metres high; folded for landing, it sits much lower[1]. Two L-s10.2 twin heavy laser cannons provide the firepower, deflector shields protect the hull and a Class 1 hyperdrive carries it between systems[2]. It seats up to five crew and ten passengers[1][2].
